On Friday, 11 Nov. 2011, Veteran's Day, Mike Perry picked up Maj. Chuck Wilson, USAFR (Ret) at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and together, they drove to Albuquerque, NM. to meet with Col. Bill Demint, USAF (Ret).

Chuck and Bill flew F-80's and F-86's with the 36th FBS in 1952 and 1953 and both were in "Uncle" flight.  It had been 58 years since these two gents had seen each other. Over Veteran's Day weekend, Bill and his lovely wife Val extended a very warm and wonderful hospitality to Chuck and myself. Chuck, Bill and I managed to sneak in 9 holes of golf in a brief weather respite and the rest of our trip was filled with fellowship, "war stories," and remembrance of Veterans past and present, and what their service meant to our beloved country.
